ABOUT US
Our mission is to preserve and promote Lao cultural heritage, assists other Laotian Americans of all ethnic groups in San Diego to improve their social and economic conditions and to help them integrate into American society.
LCCC also promotes unity and collaboration among Laotian American people of all ethnic groups. Further, LCCC facilitates cultural exchange between Lao community and other communities at large.
Admission to the day time events: $2.00 (10 years old and above)
Admission to the evening gala: $25.00 per ticket
MISS LAO NEW YEAR CONTESTANTS 2012
Our program includes Angel of Mercy Parade (Nang SangKhan), cultural entertainment, art exhibits, and traditional Southeast Asian food vendors. You’ll also enjoy international and Lao classical dances, live bands, sports tournament-Ping pong and Rattan Ball (Kataw) competition and experience the ceremonial Lao New Year’s rites of passage. We invite you to support our efforts by participating in this very important festival as we enter into the year 2555 B.E. and crown Miss Lao New Year.
This festival will provide an opportunity for the Lao American community to promote a deeper understanding of our traditions and people, present a uniquely Lao American identity, and to share our rich cultural heritage.
Admission fee: $3.00 at the Market Creek Plaza (Day time); $25 for the evening gala at the Jacobs Center Celebration Hall. The Lao legendary Composer/Songwriter, Voradeth Ditthavong will be performing at the event.
